ERRS Inc.

Aquatic Training

Since 1996 ERRS has provided services to the Manitoba Government in the form of Beach Safety and Beach Patrol Services. We began our services at Winnipeg Beach and now include Grand Beach.

We have always strived to provide the best possible care to the public. That’s why we have always focused on exceeding the required training levels for staff and have participated in countless program reviews.

Our staff is among the highest trained Lifeguards in Canada. We service the Manitoba Beaches with staff that are all National Lifeguards certified in both Pool and Waterfront options by the Lifesaving Society. We also train in the areas of Boat Rescue, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation, Aquatic Emergency Care, and recently, we have introduced an Automated External Defibrillation program to the beaches.

In recent years, each beach has seen staff take training in the field of Prehospital care including the Primary Care Paramedic program. This has seen our standards of care increase far beyond the requirements stated.

ERRS has developed a Beach Patrol system that focuses on prevention, education, and minimization of hazards to patrons. We also strongly believe that the patrons must take an active role in the reduction of aquatic related incidents by remaining water smart. This means following the recommendations on the reduction of drownings by the Manitoba Lifesaving society.
